Woman explains how to pronounce her unusual name, Abcde: 'A lot of you want to know'
A woman who was given the baby name 'Abcde' has released a TikTok video explaining how to pronounce it.
Abcde Elaine Sutton, who shares content @abcde.elaine, has spent a lifetime hearing her name pronounced a variety of names.
In the video, she says: "Alright so a lot of you want to know how to pronounce my name."

Guesses include "Obesity", "Abcity" or one who suggested it be pronounced "Alphabet".
"I just think it's so funny because 'Obesity' is wild," she says in the video, before saying, "It's pronounced 'Absidy' – Abcde, Absidy."

The video has since been viewed 2.3 million times by curious TikTok vieweres.
"Was it ur parents that went viral when they named you that?" one asks. "I remember that a long time ago."
Another comments: "No way there's actually someone with this name. I read about it years ago. Cool man."
One person says, "Okay but it's actually a pretty name."

To the response to her name, Abcde simply says in the video description: "Y'all gotta chill now."
One person admits they thought the correct way to pronounce the name was "Elaine".
"Pretty name, it's just the spelling," adds another
"I mean it's not like someone will forget to spell it," another writes.
While some baby names are banned in Australia, including "Saint", "Justice" and "Prince", "Abcde" is allowed.
328 babies have reportedly been named "Abcde" in the US between 1990 and 2014.
