Toyah Cordingley's father pays tribute to his daughter with new tattoos

Three months on from her murder, Toyah Cordingley's father has paid tribute to his daughter with three new tattoos.

In the early hours of October 22, Troy Cordingley found the 24-year-old's body on a remote beach north of Cairns. Toyah, his only child, had been reported missing the previous day after taking her dog out for a walk.

Over the weekend, the grieving dad shared photos of the three tattoos he's had inked in her memory on the Honour Toyah memorial Facebook page.

Mr Cordingley now has his beloved daughter's name tattooed across his chest, along with two designs his daughter had created on his arms.

"I also got the bat symbol Toyah designed and suggested for both forearms," he wrote.

Last month, Mr Cordingley returned to Wangetti Beach for the first time since the "horrific day" he found Toyah while out with a search party.

He placed a floral tribute in the dunes where her body had been.

"It was lovely to see people’s tributes and so hard to lay golden penda flowers where I found my little girl," he wrote on Facebook, according to The Brisbane Times.

In the days following Toyah's death, police launched an appeal for information, receiving more than 500 tips.

However, no arrests have been made in relation to the murder, with the police investigation continuing.

The local community has thrown their support behind the Cordingley family through events organised in her memory and bumper stickers appealing for information surrounding her death.
