Man flirts with waitress right in front of his actual date, and the waitress flirts back

And you thought dating in lockdown was hard.

A woman has documented on TikTok the moment her date flirted with their waitress, and, to her surprise, the waitress flirted back with him — all right in front of her.

TikTok user Emely, who goes by the username @hotpinksaggitarius on the video-sharing platform, posted a horror-story-time of the (hopefully last) date she went on with an anonymous man, where she says he flirted with the waitress instead of talking with her, and the waitress flirted back. Watch above.

In retaliation, Emely joked in the video that she would get him to buy her drinks, all the while intending to go and flirt with the men at the bar — but later clarified in a comment that she didn't flirt with anyone else, it was just a "petty" passing thought.

In another comment underneath the video, which now has over 397,000 views, one TikTok user suggested that Emely's date may have only been acting friendly, not flirting.

"He asked her what days she works there, her name, age, and more that I don't care to remember," Emely replied.

One commenter suggested that the waitress may have been doing her job and just wanted tips, but Emely said that although that did cross her mind, "for all [the waitress] knew we could have been together for years, even married. It was disrespectful but I didn't let it ruin my night."

In a second video, Emely clarified that it wasn't the first time the duo had met up. They had met at a bar a few days earlier, and Emely gave the man her number as she was interested in his friend, who was with him at the time.

When the man asked Emely out, she thought it would be a group thing with his friend there too, but when she realised it would be just him, she said she wanted to give him a chance as "it was too late to back out."

In a third video, Emely confirms she didn't end up flirting with anyone at the bar, and she actually made friends with another girl there.

After the date, Emely went home and then she "never spoke to him again," though he did message her a few days later.

Emely never responded.
