Golfing great Tiger Woods confirms his relationship with Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife Vanessa Trump: 'Life is better with you by my side'

Golfing great Tiger Woods has confirmed he's dating Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife, Vanessa Trump.

The professional golfer, 49, who is considered one of the best in the world, shared two pictures of the pair together with his millions of followers and gushed about his new partner, 47, saying that "love is in the air".

It comes after it was reported just weeks ago that the pair were dating, with the news making international headlines.

"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!" he captioned the social media post.

"We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy to all those close to our hearts."

Ivanka Trump commented underneath: "So happy for you both! [smiling love heart emojis]."

Just over a week ago, DailyMail.com first reported the news citing sources, saying the pair, 49, and 47 respectively, have been "secretly" dating since Thanksgiving and both live in Florida.

Of the new dating news making headlines, a source told People Donald Trump Jr. is "cool" with the new relationship.

Woods, Vanessa and her daughter Kai Madison Trump, 17, a professional golfer, were spotted arriving together at a golfing event in California last month.

A source told The New York Post: "They have a lot in common. They've both gotten used to public scrutiny. They both know how to keep their private life private. They're both parents."

Vanessa is the ex-wife of businessman and Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr., 47, and the pair were married from 2005 to 2018.

Woods meanwhile, was previously married to Swedish model Elin Nordegren, 45.

However, their relationship ended in a highly-publicised cheating scandal which made headlines around the world.

The sports star, considered one of the greatest golfers of all time, previously admitted to cheating on his ex-wife.

"I was unfaithful, I had affairs and I cheated. What I did was unacceptable," Woods said.

"I hurt my wife, my kids, my mother, my wife's family, my friends, my foundation and kids all around the world who admired me."
