The one weird outfit that the royal family has to pack in their luggage
The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge and their two children George and Charlotte have sported some pretty impressive and adorable looks while on tour in Europe these past few weeks. But there's one outfit addition to each of their suitcases that will hopefully never see the light of day.
According to The Independent, when a royal travels abroad, they must pack a black mourning outfit in the event that someone in the family dies while they're away, so they don't have to do a Jackie O and step off the plane in an inappropriate hue.
This is reportedly a strict stipulation that every family member must adhere to, lest they repeat the unfortunate incidence in which The Queen was caught out without a suitable outfit when her father died in 1952.
While returning from a visit to Kenya, Her Royal Highness was not photographed or filmed until a suitable black dress was delivered to her stationary plane after she arrived back from Africa.
