10-year-old's emotional poem about dyslexia goes viral
An emotional poem, written by a ten-year-old girl about having a learning disorder has taken Twitter by storm.
A year six teacher originally posted the piece, titled Dyslexia, saying she “would love her work to be appreciated further afield.”
The task was to write a poem that could be read both forwards and backwards and this one student has mastered the art in such a beautiful and intelligent, matter that it has garnered more than 165k likes on Twitter.

When read forward the poem says:
I am stupid
Nobody would ever say
I have a talent for words
I was meant to be great
That is wrong
I am a failure
Nobody could ever convince me to think that

Users were quick to chime in, commenting how impressed and equally moved they were with the student’s words.
“Made this grown man cry. I must have read it over twenty times already,” one user wrote.
It also resonated with others who have, or know someone with the condition.
A woman commented, “As the mother of a dyslexic son, this speaks volumes to me. Just beautiful.”
“As someone who is dyslexic I found it very moving, well done to that student," another said.
With the poem’s exposure still growing, the teacher has been contacted by a flurry of people wanting to publish the poem in magazines and online.
