Teacher receives COVID test as her holiday gift
While it's not uncommon for employers to give their employees little bonuses and gifts over the holiday season, some might be luckier than others.
Amber, a primary school teacher in the US who goes by @lil.yambs on TikTok, was disappointed to receive a COVID Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) as her Christmas gift.

"I'm confused. Is this a joke?" she asked as she received the test in a video shared on the social media platform as she unwrapped the present.
"I got my Christmas present from the school. It's literally a COVID rapid test. That's my Christmas bonus."

Just recently, the Biden government announced their plans to make free at-home, RATs available through COVIDTests.gov as well as handing out over 500 million tests to schools across the country.

While there were a lot of shocked comments on the video, some weren't that surprised.
"My sister got the same one and she is a music teacher," one user commented.
Others were in disbelief as the tests were free from the US government to begin with.

"The nerve to wrap it," one comment read, while another joked, "My $1 lottery card looks like GOLD."
"Sorry but omg I wasn't expecting it to be this bad," one person said.
The video received over 150k views, thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.
