Galah helps out with zookeeper proposal
Natalie Cornish
A keeper at Sydney's Taronga Zoo was left speechless yesterday after her daily show and tell ended in a surprise proposal.
Keeper Meghan sent a galah out in to the crowd to pick up a coin during the bird show as usual. Her feathered friend flew to a man in the audience, picked up what she assumed to be a dollar and landed back on her arm. So far, so normal.
But, it turns out, the man wasn't just any visitor. He was the zookeeper's partner and had given the galah an engagement ring rather than a coin.

A few seconds later, he jumps up from his seat, apologises to the crowd for interrupting the show and gets down on one knee to propose.
Luckily, she said 'yes' and the video has since been liked 5,000 times on the zoo's Facebook page. Aww.
