Relationship expert's hot take on squabbling spouses: 'This isn't Married at First Sight'
In every friend group, there's always one couple who take any opportunity they can to bicker in front of everyone — sometimes dragging friends into the fight, forcing people to choose sides.
In this week's segment of Talking Honey 9Honey columnist, Shelly Horton, reveals the tough question sent in by a reader called Jennifer about squabbling spouses.
Jennifer penned a desperate note requesting advice from the panel which consisted of relationship expert, John Aiken, former Miss Australia, Maria Thattil and 2GB Breakfast host, Ben Fordham.

She wrote, "Help! In our friendship is a married couple, who whenever we are out, start bickering. Sometimes they even have an argument and one storms off. It is really uncomfortable for everyone — should we say something or should we stay out of it?"
The question sparked a debate amongst the panel who had some unexpectedly controversial responses to the dilemma.
Aiken, relationship expert on Married At First Sight (MAFS), had a hot take on the situation advising Jennifer to confront the arguing couple in order to create "boundaries."
"You've got some fighting to do, so do it behind closed doors," Aiken exclaimed. "If they're friends and its happening on a regular basis then pull them aside."

Aiken's controversial response was met with surprise from the other columnists.
He continued to advise the reader to talk to the couple about airing their "dirty laundry" joking, "This isn't MAFS — you want to have some boundaries so if you have some fighting to do, do it behind closed doors."
Aiken's advice triggered a surprising response from Ben Fordham, who disagreed with the expert.
Fordham's response received backlash from Horton who exclaimed that his idea was "terrible."
