Model Tabria Majors slams photo editing app that used her as 'before' shot on Instagram

As a model, Tabria Majors is no stranger to seeing images of herself being used to sell products.

However, the Los Angeles local was horrified when her likeness appeared in her Instagram feed as the ‘before’ shots in promotions for an image editing app last month.

The ads for Body Camera featured two full-length photos of Majors before and after they were edited to look slimmer.

Majors, who worked as a cleaner before a talent agent spotted her on Instagram, reminded her fans not to be influenced by the images they see online.

“Please remember that you are beautiful just the way you are and you don’t need an app to tell you that!” she wrote.

The posts featuring Majors no longer appear on Body Camera’s Instagram account.

However, its remaining ads use images of pop star Miley Cyrus and curve model Jennifer Maitland to demonstrate the app’s ability to make women appear ‘slimmer’ and ‘taller’.

“I hope you do see this soon and get it taken down,” one Instagram user writes on the image featuring Maitland, tagging the model’s personal account. 

“They are disrespecting you and using your photo without your permission."
