ALDI shopper's checkout hack goes viral: 'It will change your life'

A TikToker has revealed their ALDI checkout hack that will "save you a tonne of time" during your next visit.

In a video posted to TikTok, American ALDI shopper @1980sgamer, shared his trick on how to skip the bagging process at the checkout register.

He starts by saying he believes the hack makes "checkout faster" and "is better for the environment," adding, "it will change your life."

The shopper shows himself waiting at the checkout with his trolley, explaining, "Just get all of your food like usual. Then begin the checkout process by throwing all your food on the belt and then pay for your items."

As his items are quickly scanned and paid for, he puts them back in the trolley without bagging them, adding, "Now you see all these people wasting their time bagging their groceries? Yeah, skip that."

Once the items are paid for, he rolls the trolley to his car and loads his items into two laundry baskets that are waiting in the boot of the car. 

He continues, "Start throwing your food into those laundry baskets. Just keep throwing it in there until you fill it up to the top."

In the end he is left with two very full and easy-to-carry laundry baskets.

"I just saved you a tonne of time by skipping the bagging process with this great grocery hack," he adds.

He reveals that once he arrives home, he simply carries the laundry baskets filled with food inside, completely eliminating the need for plastic bags.

The clip has received a lot of attention, racking up over two million views and over 250,000 likes.

TikTok users were quick to praise the nifty shopper, with one user writing, "OH MY GOD! You used no bags, why didn't I know this?" 

Another added, "And no more plastic bags, I love it!"

A third commented, "Damn, now that's a good idea!"
