'Struggling skier' upstages presenter during ski resort's snow report

Snow reports don't typically go viral, but a recent segment posted to Twitter by a ski resort in Pennsylvania, USA has garnered a lot of attention.

In the seemingly normal report, Seven Springs resort's Abbey Way delivers a rundown of the snow as a skier can be seen in the background, seriously struggling to navigate down a set of icy stairs.

Dressed head-to-toe in ski gear, the woman continues to struggle, falling multiple times before the snow report ends.

The hilarious clip quickly amassed over 14,000 likes and was retweeted more than 1,700 times.

In response to the this online traction, resort spokesman Alex Moser told TribLive, "Yes, we're aware of the popularity of (Thursday's) report. It was retweeted by (former NBA basketball star) Rex Chapman, who has 1.1 million followers on Twitter, plus many others."

He continued, "And we just received a call this afternoon from KTLA News in Los Angeles asking to use it."

Rex Chapman indeed reposted the hilarious clip, with the caption, "The person coming down the steps."

When pressed about whether the incident was staged, Mosier relented, saying, "We've been trying to do something a little different this year with something humorous going on in the background … trying to make it a little more interesting."

"Abbey doesn't usually even know what's going on behind her."

In a follow-up video, Seven Springs took the joke one step further and brought the struggling skier, who they dubbed "Mrs Bean", onto the show for an interview.

The clip was shared to Twitter with the caption "You asked, we delivered. Struggling Skier/Mrs Bean is here with an update."

In the segment, Way is seen interviewing Mrs Bean who says the "conditions are great" and adds "it's a little slippy out there."
