Woman’s skimpy wedding dress shamed online
There’s been a recent wave of ‘wedding shaming’ on the internet, with the emergence of Facebook groups specifically designed to scrutinise people’s wedding themes, dresses, demands and even rings.
Now, one Facebook group is divided over a bride-to-be’s extremely daring wedding frock.
The anonymous woman requested some feedback on her one-of-a-kind dress (or, perhaps, lack thereof). In a clip she shared with friends and family, the bride-to-be is seen modelling a glitzy sequinned, strapless bodysuit with extravagant structured lace hips, topped with a removable glittery tulle skirt.
The beautiful one of a kind wedding dress. Facebook
In her original post, the bride explains she is having a beach wedding – clearly, not one with the bohemian style we’d expect to see in Byron Bay.
The video was shared to a private Facebook group where the verdict was divided, with some labelling the outfit ‘tacky’ and others praising the woman for the confidence she oozed.
“You better get some clothes on before your [mother-in-law] and her family have an en masse hissy fit,” wrote one user.
“I hate it. What is with the thing around the hips? It's a no from me,” another said.
However, some members of the group loved the design and were thrilled to see how confident the woman was in the dress of her dreams.
"Honestly, the piece itself is gorgeous,” wrote a fan. "She seems thrilled and it fits her beautifully!"
“She looks so good and I love that it's one of a kind,” wrote another kind commenter, adding “Actually kinda impressive... no shame here.”
We think it’s fabulous and just LOVE how much she loves it. You do you, girl.
