How to make slime: Simple slime recipe using household products
My niece Gia has become the family slime expert, quickly learning how to make it at home after her mother (my sister) and I refused to buy it anymore.
It can be expensive!
Particularly when it's had glitter added to it or a fancy name such as 'toxic slime'.
What toy manufacturers don't want you to know is that slime is so easy to make, using common household products.
GIA'S SLIME RECIPE
Ingredients
1/2 cup PVA Craft Glue
1/2 cup shaving foam
1/4 cup moisturiser
1 teaspoon Borax
1 cup water
Food colouring/glitter optional
Method
Place glue and shaving foam in a bowl and mix.
Add lotion and stir again. This will make the slime stretchy.
Add food colouring/glitter.
Mix the Borax and water in a separate bowl and begin adding one teaspoon at a time. This will turn the mixture into slime.
Stir thoroughly each time you add a teaspoon of activator until the slime reaches a desired consistency. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
