'Hate that I even have to address this': Olympian Simone Biles shuts down pregnancy rumours
American Olympic gymnast Simone Biles is putting pregnancy rumours to rest.
The athlete, who legally married NFL star Jonathan Owens in May, has shut down speculation online that the couple are expecting their first child.
Biles, 26, broke her silence on Instagram, addressing the pregnancy comments under a recent post of her attending a football game at Metlife Stadium.
"I hate that I even have to address this," the Olympic gold medallist wrote to her Instagram story while sharing the post in question.

"But please stop commenting on this photo or my Instagram in general about me being 'pregnant'," she said.
"I am not pregnant," she concluded firmly.
The US athlete's shutdown comes after fans flooded her comments section speculating she was pregnant and that they could see a "bump" beneath her camo jacket.

Following her recent Story, some took to the comments to apologise to the athlete for having to address the rumours.
Amidst the sea of pregnancy comments, others were quick to point out that the star is intending to compete in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics in a matter of months.
"She's literally competing in the Olympics so i doubt she's thinking about having a baby," one person pointed out, while many called out those for commenting on her body.

"It is so incredibly rude to assume a woman is pregnant without her mentioning it," someone said. "You have no idea what may be going on in someone's life."
In September 2023, Biles confirmed during an appearance on the Today Show she was intending to secure a spot on Team USA Gymnastics for the Paris Olympics next year.
Biles' latest run for the 2024 Olympics comes after she dropped out of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 due to mental health reasons.
The gymnast later opened up a year later about her Tokyo departure and the importance of mental health.
"I gave an outlet for athletes to speak up about their mental health and their wellbeing and learn that you can put yourself [as a person] first before the athlete," she said.

Biles frequently shares photos of the pair and their life together to Instagram, posting her regular attendance at Owens' Monday night games.
