Princess Eugenie's nod to mum Sarah Ferguson

Princess Eugenie has described mum Sarah Ferguson as "cool" on an Instagram post, which features an adorable throwback photo of the pair.

Eugenie, 28, shared the photo of she and the Duchess of York during a skiing holiday, on her official Instagram account.

In the picture, Eugenie is wearing a green ski suit and colourful gloves while sitting on her mum's shoulders.

Ferguson, 59, is dressed in a white fur headband and is smiling with delight during the fun pose with her youngest daughter.

Eugenie captioned the post: "All this snow got me remembering how cool mum and I were in the 90s #flashbackfriday @sarahferguson15."

The post has received almost 45,000 likes and hundreds of comments from royal fans, with one Instagram user saying: "Haha! Always lovely to look back over old photos. Happy memories."

Another said: "So cute! You had the same hair colour as your mom!"

Another comment stated: "I remember how very cool you were together in the snow and everywhere. Your mum has always been my favourite royal. I love her so much."

Another follower said: "Totally cool sweetheart, hope married life is treating you well."

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank at St Georges Chapel on October 12, 2018.

Fergie had previously gushed on social media about the wedding of her daughter and Jack, saying: "We really believe in that, you can see that the York family unity - it's all about seeing the light in life.

"Jack is a really sort of amazing bringer of light and he brings joy. I say to Jack always just stay yourself and I'd say that to anybody what else can you do in life.”

Both mother and daughter regularly share photos on social media.
