Prince Andrew leads tributes to Sarah Ferguson on her 60th Birthday

The Duke of York has been the first one of the Royal Family to wish ex-wife Sarah Ferguson a Happy 60th Birthday.

Prince Andrew led the tributes by sharing a rare photo of the former couple with their two daughters and their partners.

"Wishing @sarahferguson15 a very Happy 60th Birthday!" The Royal captioned the post.

The series of photos also included shots of the Duchess of York working on her charity projects.

So far Princess Beatrice hasn't shared any birthday messages to her mum on Twitter and Princess Eugenie is yet to give a shout out on Instagram.

There are also reports the Duke of York is hosting a gathering for Fergie's 60th, with a garden marquee and pink champagne, in light of her support for him through the Epstein scandal.

"The invitations to the surprise birthday have been sent out by Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice," a source told The Sun.

"It is going to be a sit down dinner for friends and family at their home Royal Lodge."

The couple, who still live together in the Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park, are commonly referred to as the most friendly divorced couple, having remained close for the sake of their daughters since their 1996 split.

Their closeness has sparked plenty of rumours, which have only intensified in the past 12 months, with Fergie asked point-blank by TV host and friend Piers Morgan if the pair were back together.

The Duchess of York told Morgan off when he pushed about whether she and Prince Andrew would ever reunite romantically.

The question came at the end of a chat on Good Morning Britain to promote her charity work, which ended with the former royal telling him: "Piers, get a life!"
