The palace has finalised an internal investigation into bullying allegations levelled at Meghan Markle by staffers, a royal insider claims.

According to People, the findings from the probe will not be made public, however recommendations have been made to all aides and members of the royal family.

A senior palace aide told the publication that the new implementations include encouraging staff to be whistle-blowers if they have complaints about "inappropriate" actions.

All staffers and members of the royal family "will be aware of what the policies and procedures are", the source claimed.

"It is not limiting in any way whatsoever – there is a procedure for how you would raise a concern," the source added.

A new "concern at work" policy will encourage employees to essentially "blow the whistle" on others – including royals – within the royal household.

The internal review was triggered by media reports about the Duchess of Sussex, which claimed Meghan was facing bullying complaints by one of her closest advisers at Kensington Palace.

Meghan has fiercely refuted any of the bullying allegations made in The Times article, which was published in March 2021.

In the article, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's former communications secretary Jason Knauf claimed Meghan drove away two personal assistants in the royal household and "undermined" the confidence of another.

Buckingham Palace later responded to the report with a statement, claiming it was "clearly very concerned" about bullying allegations directed at a former senior member of the royal family.

The statement reads in full: "We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

"Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned.

"The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace."

Meghan has strongly denied the claims, with a spokesperson stating: "The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma."

Meghan's lawyers also described the allegations as a "calculated smear campaign" ahead of her and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah.

The palace has not commented recently about the report.
