After hours of preparation and smiling and tears and mingling, it’s no wonder couples reach a point on their wedding day where they feel utterly exhausted.

Evidently, even royal couples know the feeling.

The photographer Prince Harry and Meghan Markle selected for their Royal Wedding has revealed one of their official portraits was captured during that very moment.

Earlier this week, Kensington Palace shared three of Alexi Lubomirski’s photos from the May 19 nuptials, including one of the newlyweds sitting on the steps of Windsor Castle’s East Terrace.

"There was this moment where they were just laughing because they were joking about how they were exhausted and finally it's all over.

"It was just one of those magical moments when you're a photographer and everything falls into place."

The photo of Harry and Meghan with their bridal party has received plenty of attention, with many parents questioning how on earth they got 10 young children to sit still and smile at once.
