Royal website makes embarrassing error about baby Archie's parents

Baby Archie may not have a royal title but, as a member of The British Royal Family, the little one does have a page on the royals' official website.

The landing page featuring the newborn's bio was announced on Twitter shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their son's name.

However, it seems in the rush to get the personal page live on the site, they got the baby boy's parents wrong.

"Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born at 05:26 on Monday 6th May. He is the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is seventh in line to the throne."

Yep, that's right, the royal website accidentally named Prince William and Kate Middleton little one's parents and wiped out Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis by calling Archie their firstborn.

But the mistake was very quickly fixed after it was pointed out by a journalist on Twitter.

It now, correctly, reads: "He is the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex"

The two-day-old's name was announced via Instagram, alongside an image of him being introduced to his great-grandparents, The Queen and Prince Philip.

Of motherhood, Meghan said the first few days have been "magic" and their son is "calm" with "the sweetest temperament".

Archie made his debut to the world cradled in his father's arms, with a besotted Prince Harry joking the little one has facial hair already.
