Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly attend Cheltenham Festival together despite pending divorce

Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly have attended the annual Cheltenham Festival together, despite their pending divorce.

The pair, who announced their split last month, were seen cheering at a horse racing event at the Cheltenham Racecourse with Peter's mother Princess Anne.

Peter, 42, is the Queen's eldest grandchild and the brother of Zara Tindall. He and wife Autumn, 41, confirmed they had "jointly agreed to separate" in February, but stated that Canadian native Autumn would remain in the UK, where they would continue to co-parent their daughters Savannah and Isla.

The statement announcing their separation read: "They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship. The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many months of discussions and although sad, is an amicable one."

The couple met while they were both working in Canada and were married in 2008. Because neither of them are working royals, they've been able to stay out of the spotlight.

But, sadly, towards the end of 2019, rumours were circulating in royal circles of a split between Peter and Autumn, with their separation officially confirmed this year.

The estranged couple will continue to live on Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate, neighbours to Peter's sister Zara and her husband Mike Tindall. However, Peter and Autumn will live in separate houses.

It's believed Autumn has no plans to move back to Canada as she and Peter focus on co-parenting their daughters in London.
