Hidden detail in Queen Camilla's glamorous State Banquet look
Queen Camilla and King Charles III have hosted a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in honour of Japan's emperor and empress.
The royals, of course, dressed to the nines for the special event but one particular detail in Queen Camilla's outfit has stolen the show.
Paired with her white ball gown, the queen wore the new Royal Family Order of King Charles III, which marks the first time it has been seen in public since it was created.

The new Royal Family Order, which is traditionally awarded to female members of the family to be worn on formal occasions, was made this year to honour King Charles' reign and awarded to the Queen.
The Order features a miniature portrait of King Charles, surrounded by diamonds and suspended on a silk bow.
Created by portrait miniaturist Elizabeth Meek, the Order is based on a photograph of the King taken by Hugo Burnand.

In the portrait, the King wears his uniform of the Admiral of the Fleet and the sash of the Royal Victorian Order.
It is painted in oil and mounted in a diamond-set white and yellow gold frame beneath a small enamel Tudor crown, created by jeweller Fiona Rae. The piece is suspended on a pale blue ribbon.
The Queen debuted the royal piece wearing it on her blue sash. Underneath it she also wore the Family Order of the late Queen Elizabeth II which she received in 2007.

The Order's debut during the Queen's attendance at the State Banquet is the first time the brooch has been worn.
Queen Camilla is believed to be the only one to receive the new Royal Family Order so far.
The tradition of the Royal Family Order began during the reign of King George IV. The honour was created to be awarded to female royal family members as they do not typically wear the medals the men do.

The orders are traditionally worn for formal evening occasions when other orders and commemorative medals should be worn.
They are worn pinned to the left shoulder or pinned to a sash worn over the left shoulder. When more than one Royal Family Order is worn, the most recent should be placed at the top.
We can expect to see Royal Order of King Charles III to make appearances at future formal occasions throughout the King's reign.
