Princess Mary wears a white suit for cooking show appearance in South Korea

Princess Mary has pulled off another fashion win during day two of her royal visit to South Korea.

The Crown Princess opted for a rather brave choice of clothing for her morning engagement, a cooking demonstration.

Mary, 47, was the guest of honour at a seminar focusing on food sustainability, with Danish ideas being showcased to the Korean audience.

The royal was invited to help the South Korean chefs prepare part of the meal, using both local and Danish ingredients.

Never one to shy away from diving into the task at hand, Mary helped chefs Christian Wellendorf and Minzi Kim Wind prepare the dishes by grating several of the ingredients.

Mary wore a cream Max Mara suit for the Korean-Danish Business Conference at the Shilla Hotel and didn't spill, or splash, anything onto her pristine outfit.

The next engagement on the royal's busy schedule was an exhibition celebrating the works of Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, who is best known for his fairy tales.

Mary toured the installation and met with school children learning about the Danish writer.

The show, marking 200 years since Anderson arrived in Copenhagen, is one of the main events in the Danish-South Korean cultural year, of which Mary is patron.

The purpose of Mary and Frederik's visit to Seoul is strengthen cultural and business ties between Denmark and South Korea. The Danish-South Korean cultural year includes a number of events in both countries focusing on music, crafts, design, film, music, sports and sustainability.

Later in the evening Princess Mary and Prince Frederik were the guests of honour at a gala dinner marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and South Korea.

The Tasmanian-born royal chose an Australian designer, wearing a floral Zimmermann frock to the event.

Relations between South Korea and Denmark have been strong, beginning during the Korea War when the Danish hospital ship, Jutlandia, helped care for wounded soldiers.

On Mary and Frederik's first day in the South Korean capital they toured the demilitarised zone, the 253km-long and 4km-wide no man's land between North and South Korea, which is one of the most fortified areas in the world.

The royal couple also met with South Korea's President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook, and had dinner with Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary first visited South Korea in 2012.
