The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have marked a major milestone birthday for their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
The pair ushered in the big five with a sweet birthday post on Instagram, in which Meghan shared a rare glimpse of her youngest’s fiery red hair.
The first two photos, shared on the duchess’ personal account, depicted a touching scene, with Harry shown cradling their girl in his arms as Meghan looked on fondly, embracing her husband.
The second image was a candid shot of Lilibet playing in a sun-drenched garden, touching an agapanthus flower.
“Our dream girl. Happy fifth birthday, Lili,” Meghan captioned the sweet snaps.
As the family celebrated the milestone moment, a source has identified a “notable shift” that may prove a turning point for Lilibet and her seven-year-old brother, Archie, in the coming year.
Since the princess turned four, she has featured in a growing number of the duchess’ posts, hinting at a transition for her As Ever lifestyle brand into an extension of her life as a mother.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, head of London-based TAL Agency Megan Dooley said there’s been a “noticeable shift” in Meghan’s approach to featuring her children on social media.
“Especially when we compare it to her and Harry’s earlier dedication to privacy,” Dooley added.
Meghan and Harry have largely opted to keep their children’s faces out of social media posts, with the clearest shot of their daughter having been shared on Valentine’s day this year.

But content marketing expert Aidan van Vuuren had a word of warning.
Speaking to Women’s Day, Vuuren revealed the potential downfalls of mixing family with brand content.
“The risk, as with any founder-led lifestyle brand, is that audiences are increasingly sharp at spotting family content that serves the brand first,” he said.
“Meghan’s challenge is keeping it feeling effortless rather than engineered.”
This milestone for the Sussexes comes after news that Frogmore Cottage will be stripped back to its original, pre-Prince Harry and Meghan state.
The Crown is reportedly planning to remove the multi-million-dollar renovations the couple made during the short time they spent at the property.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun, the space has “been empty for three years”.
“Even Andrew [Mountbatten-Windsor] thought it wasn’t good enough for him to move in,” they claimed.
“Maybe if they get rid of any trace of Harry and Meghan, then someone within the royal household will fancy it.”
