Princess Eugenie and Sarah Ferguson are self-isolating together at family home

During the coronavirus pandemic, it's understandable to want to quarantine with loved ones.

Princess Eugenie has an isolation buddy in the form of her mother Sarah Ferguson.

The Duchess of York and her daughter are believed to be staying together at their family residence, The Royal Lodge, in Windsor.

On Monday, the royals were pictured unloading packages of pastries from the back of a car together, which they donated to doctors and staff of London hospitals.

Taking to Instagram, the Duchess thanked German confectionery entrepreneur and friend Hermann Bühlbecker for showing support to "hard workers in the UK", sharing a photo of herself with a box of treats.

Bühlbecker then reposted the images, writing, "A few days ago Fergie, Duchess of York, and her daughter received a large delivery of Lambertz pastries (over 100 kg) at the Royal Lodge. This is intended for the doctors and staff of London hospitals, who are currently working up to their limits.

"The Duchess called us about this; she sent us the pictures when the shipment arrived."

The sprawling Georgian home, which has been in the royal family for more than a century, is nestled within 21 acres of concealed grounds and includes more than 30 rooms, a private chapel, indoor swimming pool and eight individual properties to house staff.

Formerly inhabited by the Queen Mother, the lodge was handed down to Prince Andrew after his grandmother's 2002 death. He moved in with his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice in 2004, and ex-wife Fergie joined them in 2008.

The Duchess and Eugenie recently went on another delivery run, bringing new husband Jack Brooksbank along, to hand out care packages to staff at Hammersmith Hospital in London.

The deliveries reportedly contained essential goods for health care workers unable to get to the supermarket due to long shifts, including toothpaste, shower gel, soap, hand wash, tinned fruit, pasta and rice.

Last week the Duchess of York publicly thanked the thousands of workers helping to keep the UK running amidst the coronavirus shutdown.

Fergie shared the note onto her official social media platforms, with the caption "thank you".

Princess Eugenie, too, has recently voiced her support for medical staff, highlighting the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, which has now become a trauma centre to treat COVID-19 patients.

Eugenie received corrective surgery for scoliosis (curvature of the spine) when she was 12 years old at the hospital and is now its royal patron.

The Princess of York posted details of a fundraiser to help staff there cope with meals, essential equipment and mental health support.
