Princess Eléonore of Belgium celebrates 16th birthday
Princess Eléonore of Belgium has marked her 16th birthday with the release of two official photos on the Belgian Royal Family Instagram account.
Eléonore, the youngest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, posed for the photos at the Palace of Laeken for her birthday, which falls on April 16.
In the first photo, the royal is seated on the grand staircase of the palace. She is wearing a stylish white blouse and blue trousers with black loafer-style shoes.

In the second photo the royal stands in a doorway of the lavish home.
The caption read: "Princess Eléonore celebrates her 16th birthday today. Happy sweet sixteen!"
Princess Eléonore reportedly attend school in Brussels, occasionally joining her parents for royal engagements. She is understood to be a gifted violin player, taking part in a number of public performances.

Her elder siblings are Crown Princess Elisabeth, 22, Prince Gabriel, 20, and Prince Emmanuel, 18.
Crown Princess Elisabeth is more active in royal life owing to her place as next in the line of succession. She will one day be crowned queen.
In 2019, she travelled overseas alongside her mother on a humanitarian trip to Kenya organised by Unicef, and in 2023 she accompanied her father to both the Coronation of King Charles III as well as Jordan's Crown Prince Hussen's wedding to Princess Rajwa.
She completed both university studies and the country's military training ahead of increasing official duties.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde have been married for 24 years. Their lavish wedding took place in 1999.
He was crowned King of Belgium in July 2013 following the abdication of his father King Albert II.

Queen Mathilde is the first native-born Belgian queen and focuses on assisting charities to decrease poverty in the country.
She enjoys close relationships with European royals and is godmother to Princess Alexia of the Netherlands and Princess Isabella of Denmark.
