Princess Beatrice goes public with new boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi: reports

Just a few months after rumours began to swirl of a royal romance for Princess Beatrice, there are reports the couple have gone public.

It's understood the Princess of York was accompanied by her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to the Third Annual Berggruen Prize Gala in New York on Monday evening, according to Hello! magazine.

While the 30-year-old happily posed for photos with friends at the gala, including model Karlie Kloss, the couple were a little camera shy and were careful to not be photographed together.

The Princess looked on-trend in a fringed black jacket over a black maxi dress at the event, held inside the New York Public Library.

It's believe the couple met through mutual friends back in September and the property developer was introduced to Beatrice's friends in November.

The Duke and Duchess of York, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have reportedly met Edoardo but it's not known if Beatrice's grandmother, The Queen, has been officially introduced.

Usually an introduction to Her Majesty only happens once a relationship is very serious and is often sign an engagement is not too far off, as was the case with Prince Harry introducing his gran to Meghan Markle.

Edoardo, 34, is a property developer whose speciality is "discreetly finding and developing multi-million pound homes for rich clients", according to The Sun.

He is also a divorced father of a two-year-old son, named Wolfie.

However insiders say that doesn't cause any problems and "everyone is thrilled that Bea is so happy and in such a good place right now".

The relationship would be Princess Beatrice's first serious relationship since the end of her ten-year romance with American Uber executive Dave Clark in 2016, whom she was first introduced to by her cousin, Prince William.
