The newest member of the British royal family, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, fits into the fold seamlessly.

After marrying Princess Beatrice in July in a small ceremony at Windsor Castle attended by only a handful of their nearest and dearest, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the freshly minted royal hasn't put a foot wrong.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a 'commoner' more suited to royal life.

Mapelli Mozzi organised for his step father, sculptor David Williams-Ellis to make a piece for Princess Beatrice which is now on display at their home.

"His studio is next to my mother's house so we'd see him in there every day covered in clay," he told Tatler. "So it's so special for us to have a piece of his work in our home."

6. He is a descendant of Italian nobles

The surname 'Mozzi' was added to the family name Mapelli in 1913 when his Italian ancestors were gifted the title by King Victor Emmanuel III so that technically makes him a count.
