After many months of lying low, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are set to join their royal relatives for a wedding celebration next month.

The sisters, 37 and 36, are invited to their cousin Peter Phillips' wedding on June 6, The Sun reported.

It will be the first time the pair have publicly joined the royal family since the release of the Epstein files and their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest.

A source said the King had always wanted his nieces "to remain part of the family."

"The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding," the source said.

"Beatrice is going and Eugenie is in the second trimester of her pregnancy but hopes to attend."

Beatrice and Eugenie have laid low since the Epstein files revealed their parents' links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein ran much longer and deeper than first thought.

This has seen them excluded from royal affairs, including a major royal gathering in April to celebrate the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth.

They have not visited their father since his exile to Sandringham and arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

No charges have been laid, and he has always denied any wrongdoing.

Phillips, son of Anne, Princess Royal, and the late Queen's eldest grandson, will marry Harriet Sperling on June 6 in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in the Cotswolds township of Cirencester.

The church was chosen due to its proximity to Gatcombe Park, the estate where his mother Anne, the Princess Royal has lived for 50 years, and where Phillips and Sperling also live.

Being welcomed back into the family fold publicly comes at a special time for Princess Eugenie, who announced her third pregnancy this month, just hours after also returning to social media.

After months of silence, she celebrated her husband, Jack Brooksbank, turning 40 just hours before they revealed their baby news.

Most recently, Eugenie was spotted by eagle-eyed watchers in the background of a photo taken at the Italian society wedding of Charles Forte and Georgie Wright.

If the sisters attend their cousin's nuptials, they will join King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and his wife, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
