Princess Beatrice reportedly planning move abroad amid Andrew and Fergie's scandals

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi may be taking a page out of her cousin Prince Harry's book and moving to the US.

Sources have told the Daily Mail that Beatrice, 37, and Edo, 42, are considering a move overseas to distance themselves from her parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, amid the unveiling of their ties to late millionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Beatrice is reportedly considering the move after many family members have "set the precedent", such as her cousin Prince Harry, who famously left his senior working royal position in 2020 with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Even Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, has moved to Portugal part-time due to her husband Jack Brooksbank's job.

"It would have been unthinkable a few years ago but now times are very different," the source said, referring to her parents' scandal and subsequent stripping of their titles.

The source pointed out that if Beatrice, Edo, and their two daughters, Sienna, 4, and Athena, 1, stay in the UK, they will have to face a months-long police investigation that will only bring about negative attention, especially if her father is charged and a trial commences.

"The feeling is that if they stay in the UK they will just be sitting ducks because, let's face it, the Andrew and Sarah problem isn't going to go away," the source said.

Furthermore, Edo regularly conducts business stateside in his role as the chief executive of development firm Banda Property, and has increased the frequency of his trips since the scandal around his in-laws intensified.

The source added: "Both sisters are in touch with their cousin Harry, and he has been offering them advice and there was talk of them staying in California for a while."

Eugenie, 36, reportedly helped her mother hide in Portugal amid the scandal, though she and her husband were reluctant to open up their home to Ferguson in case they become "tainted by association".

According to Matt Wilkinson, royal editor of The Sun, Fergie "could be in Portugal... Eugenie came back recently... I'm trying to remember where Eugenie is".

"But yes, we've not seen Sarah since the beginning of February," he said on HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast.

"The thing with Sarah, though, is if she wanted to be seen, she would be."
