Prince William has somewhat acknowledged his brother Prince Harry's bombshell memoir for the first time in public.

He spoke on Friday in response to a supportive royal fan during a visit to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in Liverpool, England, in his and Kate Middleton's first royal engagement since the book, which has become the UK's fastest-selling non-fiction book ever, dropped.

Amid the chaos of all the revelations that the book presented, one fan was concerned for William's wellbeing.

When William and Kate went outside to meet with members of the public, 81-year-old Sylvia took the opportunity to hold the heir's hand, telling him, "Keep going Will, scousers love you," using the nickname that refers to Liverpool natives, according to The Telegraph.

"I will do," William firmly responded.

The Prince of Wales was mentioned many times throughout his younger brother's memoir, most poignantly in a scene which describes an alleged physical altercation between the two brothers.

According to the Duke of Sussex, William physically attacked him in 2019 in the kitchen of his London home, Nottingham Cottage.

Harry claims that William began by calling Meghan Markle "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive", before he launched at his younger brother, resulting in Harry sustaining back injuries after landing on a dog bowl on the floor.

"He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out," wrote the exiled royal, revealed in an excerpt of his memoir that was leaked to the press five days before its launch.

William and Kate also reportedly encouraged Harry to wear his infamous Nazi costume to a 2005 party with a "Native and Colonial" theme, Harry claims in the memoir.

"I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said," Harry wrote.

Upon seeing the costume, the now Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly "both howled. Worse than Willy's leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point."

Harry was only 20 at the time, and soon found himself embroiled in scandal after photos of him wearing a swastika were plastered on the front of British newspapers.

Harry has since said the decision to wear the costume was "one of the biggest mistakes in my life."
