Prince William makes A-list announcement amid Prince Andrew furore
Amid the Prince Andrew drama circling the British royal family, Prince William is attempting to get attention firmly back on his charitable endeavours.
The Prince of Wales made a celebrity-filled announcement on Wednesday, revealing Australian music icon Kylie Minogue would be joining the lineup for this year's Earthshot Prize in Rio de Janeiro next month.
"Brazil – I'm coming back! It's a privilege and honour to be part of The Earthshot Prize in Rio – on stage with the people and the ideas that could save our planet," Minogue said of the announcement.

Minogue will be joined at the awards night by Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes as well as Brazilian music stars Anitta, Gilberto Gil and Seu Jorge.
A trailer for the awards, featuring Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey, was released on Wednesday.
Meet the World's True Action Heroes is a two-and-a-half-minute clip featuring the 15 finalists for this year's £1 million ($2 million) prize, hoping to create solutions for the climate crisis.
"When the stakes are highest – that's when heroes rise," McConaughey's dulcet tones say in a voiceover.

Minogue isn't the only Australian to be involved in Prince William's passion project, with Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett one of the council members responsible for picking a winner.
Robert Irwin is a global ambassador for the environmental enterprise, which was started by the royal in 2020.
Gisele Bündchen was also recently announced as a star attending this year's awards on November 5, a day before COP30 begins in Belém, Brazil, which Prince William will attend on behalf of King Charles.
Queen Rania, Sir David Attenborough and José Andrés also form part of the prize committee and are expected to attend the celebration.
This year marks the halfway point of the 10-year global initiative, hoping to help solve global warming, repair the planet and avoid climate catastrophe by 2030.
