Here's a fact that might give you whiplash: it's been a decade since Prince William married Kate Middleton.

Yes, April 29 will mark 10 years since the future king said "I do" to his university sweetheart as the world watched on.

It's a shocking thought, given the details of the wedding — from Kate's gorgeous McQueen gown to the grumpy flower girl who almost upstaged the newlyweds mid-kiss — still feel relatively fresh in our collective memory.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first 10 years of marriage have been eventful, to say the least.

On a personal level, William and Kate have welcomed three children, raising them between their homes in Kensington Palace and Norfolk, and have become an aunty and uncle.

In terms of duty, they've embarked on royal tours that have taken them around the world — including Australia, of course — and used their platform to spotlight an array of causes and organisations.

Then, of course, there's the pandemic and the dramatic changes it's brought to the Cambridge household.

And most recently, their united appearance at the funeral of Prince Philip, who died aged 99 on April 9 and was laid to rest on April 17.
