William and Kate make first joint visit as Duke and Duchess of Cornwall to the region
Prince William and Kate have made their first joint visit to their new duchy of Cornwall in England.
The couple, who were previously known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, inherited extra titles upon Queen Elizabeth's death in September, including Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
Crowds lined the streets to give the royals a warm welcome to the area, as they arrived at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth.

The Prince and Princess of Wales waved before heading over to chat with well-wishers, collecting bouquets of flowers as they made their way up the line.
The couple were wrapped up for the winter outing to the UK's south-west, known for its beautiful beaches.

The Duchess of Cornwall - a title taken over from Camilla, who is now Queen Consort - wore a burgundy roll neck knit dress with a full-length chestnut brown wool coat by British brand Hobbs.
The coat, which had leather belt detailing, is from the retailer's 2011 collection and was first worn by the duchess back in 2012.

She has worn it around six times since then - sometimes with the detachable faux fur trim around the neckline.
The duchess added chocolate brown suede boots, which she also wore in Leeds last week.
The Duke of Cornwall opted for a dark blue suit, with a contrasting light blue shirt, tie and navy jumper.
The museum in Discovery Quay features fifteen galleries as well as a boat building workshop, which William and Kate visited.

William and Kate met locals working on the refurbishment of the Kiwi - a 14-foot sailing dinghy presented to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip as a wedding present from the Royal New Zealand Navy.
The couple even help out, laughing as they showed their skills with a hammer.
The also unleashed their competitive sides, taking part in a model boat race with local students.
After leaving the museum, they visited a local community centre where they met people involved with services supporting both the duchess's early years work and the duke's homelessness awareness efforts.

The Duke and Duchess spent time in a session for local mothers and their young children, hearing about how The Dracaena Centre has supported them as parents and promoted their children's development through play and creativity.
The duo even fitted in a little table tennis game while at the community centre.
They also met representatives from St Petrocs, an independent charity working with individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Cornwall.

Before heading home to Windsor, the Duke and Duchess visited the NHS Wellbeing Hub to hear how they are providing community-based mental health and wellbeing support across the local area.
The Duchy of Cornwall, which covers 130,000 acres of land and 260 miles of British coastline across 23 counties of England and Wales, was established by King Edward III in 1337 as a means of providing an income for the heir to the throne.
Prince Charles was previously the Duke of Cornwall, until he became King last year and Prince William became heir apparent.
Prince William visited the region on a solo engagement in November but today's outing marked the couple's first together.
