Why Prince Harry won't apply for US citizenship
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to California, there was speculation Prince Harry would apply for US citizenship at some stage.
Wife Meghan is a US native and their son Archie holds dual US and UK citizenship.
The Times is now reporting that Prince Harry, 35, won't apply for a green card because their plans have been put on hold due to the coronavirus crisis.
A royal source told the publication: "The Duke has not made an application for dual citizenship and I don't think he will apply for a green card at any point."

A sticking point for Harry may have been the requirement that in order to become a US citizen he would have had to renounce his royal title and any remaining loyalties to the British throne. US citizens must renounce their loyalty to a "foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty", something Harry may not be prepared to do

Becoming a US citizen would make Prince Harry's relocation to the US easier but it would also require him to pay US taxation on his worldwide earnings.

It isn't known which visa program he has entered the country under, but it is most likely to have been a diplomatic or other special visa.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left the royal family as of March 31 and now reside in LA near Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. Meghan, 38, is already back at work having narrated a new Disney documentary called Elephant, now available on Disney Plus.
It is understood she is planning a return to acting.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have formed a new foundation called Archewell, with the couple confirming the news to The Telegraph, adding that they are delaying the official launch due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global Covid-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be," they told the publication.
