Prince Harry is using a $10,500 VIP service to allow him to skip the queues at airports as he travels between London and Los Angeles.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly secured the ultra-exclusive package during his latest trip to the UK in July.

Harry flew from the United States to England to attend the installation of a statue of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, at Kensington Palace.

He was in England for just under a week, spending five days in quarantine at Frogmore Cottage before attending a charity event and the statue unveiling on July 1.

He then swiftly returned to Los Angeles where wife Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana, were waiting.

But Harry's experience through both airports was reportedly much smoother than regular passengers after he used The Private Suite, described as "the most VIP way through the airport".

The Mail on Sunday says the duke was able to exit the plane before other passengers and was then picked in an SUV and taken to a private terminal to collect luggage and move through passport control all in isolation.

Members pay $6000 a year to join The Private Suite and another $4600 per trip.

For each flight Prince Harry flew commercial, rather than using private planes.

He also chose a commercial flight for both trips when he came to the UK for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip in April.

In 2019, the Duke of Sussex was forced to defend using a private plane for several flights with Meghan as he launched a global initiative promoting sustainable travel.

Harry and Meghan were heavily criticised for using four private jets in just 11 days during the British summer.

Speaking at the launch of Travalyst in the Netherlands, Harry said he flew on commercial aircraft "99 per cent of the time", however he travelled with Meghan and baby Archie on private jets in "unique" situations in order to keep his family "safe".

During his speech, Prince Harry spoke about his own impact on the environment, saying "no-one is perfect" in reference to his private jet use.

Prince Harry said he always ensures his travel is "carbon neutral".
