Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to receive humanitarian award for Archewell Foundation's work
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be recognised for their humanitarian work through the Archewell Foundation at an upcoming ceremony in New York.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex won't be on-hand to accept the gong, with the charity's executive director, James Holt, collecting the Partner Organisation Award on their behalf.
The couple are being recognised for their work advocating for Afghan refugees and their "generous financial support" to the Human First Coalition, a non-profit which helps re-settle vulnerable Afghans as the nation enters its second year of Taliban rule.

Tickets for the fundraiser cost $US100 ($141), with proceeds being donated to the organisation.
It's not the first time Harry and Meghan have been recorgnised for their charitable efforts.
Earlier this year the Sussexes were honoured with the President's Award at the NAACP Image Awards, which was in recognition of special achievement and distinguished public service.

The couple appeared together on stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in February to accept the award, which was in recognition of their work promoting vaccine equity, their work with a Texas women's shelter, and their creation of community relief centres.
In their joint acceptance speech, Prince Harry said he believed the couple's "lives were brought together for a reason".
"We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to," he added.
