Prince Harry 'lost friends' after his wedding to Meghan, expert claims

A royal expert claims Prince Harry has lost friends in the months following his wedding to Meghan Markle.

Royal author Angela Levin claims the Duchess of Sussex, 37, is "not popular in a lot of circles".

Although Meghan has been cruelly labelled by some as "Duchess Difficult", E! News correspondent Melanie Bromley says there is another explanation for Harry's change in friendships.

Bromley suggests Harry's life has changed because he has settled down, not because of Meghan.

"Meghan is sticking around for good. Here's the thing: Harry's life has changed dramatically," she tells The Express.

"He was massively social on the London scene. He was the person that was holding the parties, he was hanging around with Guy Pelly and all of these people that were just partying a lot.

"He has definitely stopped that."

Bromley says some of Harry's friendships have not survived his marriage, but says this change is "normal".

"And it does annoy me that [Meghan] is getting the blame for it because actually Harry is the one that decided it was time to settle down and fell in love."

Despite Bromley's defence of the Duchess, Levin previously told Gayle King in the CBS News Special 'Meghan and Harry Plus One' that she isn't popular in a lot of circles.

"It's often because they adore Harry and they seem to think that she is running the show," she explained.

Meghan's long-time friend and makeup artist, Daniel Martin, recently broke while chatting to King for the special.

"I know she doesn't deserve all of this negative press. What's so frustrating is that you hear these stories and there's no truth to them," he said.

"It's not the same person. In the years that I've known her, the years I've worked with her, she's never had a diva fit, never."

He has blamed criticism directed at the Duchess on the fact she is an "outsider".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6.
