Prince Harry 'very excited' to meet Baby Sussex and shows what a natural he is with kids at charity lunch

Prince Harry has said he is 'very excited' about the imminent birth of his first child.

The not so surprising comments came at Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch - an event raising money for three charities supporting service men/women, and their families.

As The Duke of Sussex was leaving the luncheon, the wife of a servicemen asked the Royal if he was looking forward to the upcoming birth of Baby Sussex.

"Of course I am excited, very excited," the father-to-be replied, according to both Daily Mail and People magazine.

As he arrived at the event, held at The Guildhall in London, the 34-year-old showed once again what a natural he is with kids, as he was handed a posy and baby present by four-year-old Zofia Zdenkowska.

The little girl with pigtails in her hair was clearly a little shy and perhaps a little star struck by the tall and dashing Prince.

But The Duke got down to Zofia's level and had a sweet chat, laughing and making the the four-year-old smile.

Harry tried to shake Zofia's hand as he left and giggled when she put out the wrong hand but shook it all the same.

Inside the lunch, which costs $195 per-head (£106), the former Army Captain met someone he served with in Afghanistan.

Mark Stevens, the Royal's former comrade, revealed Prince Harry's call sign as a pilot was 'Ugly 4 4'.

The 12th annual lunch, hosted by Lord Mayor of the City of London, is held in aid of the three National Service Charities: ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

Since 2019, the lunch has raised $3.5 million (£1.9m)
