Prince Harry's sweet reaction to baby gift from fellow Royal at Invictus Games launch in The Netherlands

Four days after welcoming his first child, Prince Harry has left little Archie at home with wife Meghan Markle and grandmother Doria Ragland to visit his other baby - The Invictus Games.

And at the official launch - a one-year countdown till the 2020 games kick off in The Hague, Netherlands - the new dad couldn't hide his delight on receiving his first baby gift from fellow Royal, Princess Margriet.

Seeing a white onesie with the Invictus Games logo emblazoned across the centre, the 34-year-old blushed.

He excitedly gave the Princess a very informal thank you, of two kisses - one on each cheek.

Prince Harry also gave a big hug to a little girl, a competitors family member, who handed him a wrapped baby present while he visited a sports training session at Sportcampus Zuiderpark.

Later The Duke of Sussex, got on his bike, literally to promote the event and was handed a riding jacket with the word 'Daddy' embroidered on it.

And it seems there are already some dad jokes creeping into Prince Harry's speeches.

"Make these Games your own, we chose you for a reason, and it wasn’t just coz I like the colour orange!" he said, joking about The Netherland team's colours.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in The Hague on Thursday morning to launch the one-year countdown to the 2020 games, to be hosted by the city.

Beaming, the new dad didn't look too tired and seemed thrilled to be able to honour the date in his diary, which was planned many months ago.

Originally the 34-year-old was set to travel on a two-day trip to The Netherlands, visiting Amsterdam first on Wednesday.

However, with Baby Sussex overdue at the time, the dad-to-be scaled back the trip but was keen if possible to still attend his Invictus Games commitments.

Instead on Wednesday, the world got their first look at Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, when The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented him to the world.

Archie was born on Monday morning, with the ecstatic new dad announcing the news himself in a press conference.

It's understood The Duke is only returning to work briefly and still intends to take a couple of weeks parental leave.

The Invictus Games are a special time for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In 2018, the Invticus Games were held in Sydney, with the couple announcing their pregnancy a day before their Australian tour kicked off.

While the 2017 games in Toronto, Canada marked their first official public appearance together.

The sporting event was an idea created by the Prince, an army man himself, after seeing wounded veterans on a flight back home from Afghanistan.

Following his stint in the Middle East the international competition for injured soldiers launched in 2014.
