Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make trip Down under later this year: reports

Prince Harry and Meghan will embark on an Australian tour later this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning a trip down under in April, according to a source who spoke to news.com.au.

A source told the outlet that the royal couple will visit Sydney and Melbourne in their first trip to Australia as private citizens.

Harry and Meghan were in Sydney in 2018, but it was in a royal working capacity.

Details of their apparent trip have not yet been confirmed, but there are rumours that Meghan could do some media engagements, including appearing as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was co-hosted by Jackie O and her friend Gemma O'Neill.

Henderson recently quit the podcast, but she hinted she may return in the future - perhaps for the episode with Meghan.

The royals have not confirmed their trip, but they likely won't, as it's understood they are travelling here for leisure, not business.

The news of a royal tour down under comes one day after the As Ever founder announced she would be cutting ties with Netflix.

The Duchess debuted the brand with the platform's investment, unveiling it alongside her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which offered viewers a glimpse into her cooking, entertaining and home life.

The collaboration has now come to an end, with representatives confirming that As Ever will continue independently.

"As Ever is grateful for Netflix's partnership through launch and our first year," a spokesperson for the brand said.

"We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can't wait to share more."

The streaming giant also confirmed the split, telling People: "Meghan's passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life."

"As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world," the Netflix spokesperson added.

As Ever launched last year with a range of home and pantry products, including fruit spreads, honey and edible flower sprinkles.

The collection quickly sold out and, since then, has expanded to include items such as candles, wine and other lifestyle accessories.

While Netflix is stepping back from the brand, Meghan and Harry are still expected to continue working with the streaming giant through their production company, Archewell Productions.
