How fans will get to see Prince George next week

Prince George is growing up quickly — the eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge turns six on July 22.

Prince William and Kate are giving their three young children, George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as normal a childhood as possible, balanced with their royal duties.

We last saw the Cambridge children at a charity polo match last Wednesday, in which princes William and Harry were competing. George was seen playing football with his sister Charlotte and climbing into the boot of the family car to eat some snacks.

In good news for fans of the little prince, the public’s next glimpse of him is likely to come next week.

When George celebrates his birthday on Monday, we can expect to see a new official portrait of the future king shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account.

Annual birthday portraits of all three children are usually taken by the Duchess.

Catherine is said to be a keen photographer, and enjoys sharing pictures she has taken over the years on her children’s birthdays and other milestone events.

Both George and Charlotte have been enjoying the school summer holidays in the UK and have spent majority of the period at the family's country home at Anmer Hall.

Over the weekend, the Cambridge children are understood to have spent time at the home of their grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton in Bucklebury while the Duke and Duchess attended the tennis finals at Wimbledon.

On Saturday, George and Charlotte — who will start her first year of school at the same school as her older brother in September — were seen at a local summer fair with their grandmother and grandfather.
