The special royal Prince Charles may break isolation to see

Prince George turns seven on July 22 and there's at least one senior royal itching to see him and help him celebrate.

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, has been in isolation with wife Camila at their home in Scotland following his recovery from coronavirus and for the duration of the pandemic.

It was during a recent radio interview that Charles, 71, shared his plans for the day. Speaking with Alan Titchmarsh on Classic FM on Monday, he recalled one of his own childhood memories at the Royal Opera House.

Because that's what royals do when their kids we suppose! But also, cute.

It was in 1956, and he said his grandmother, the Queen Mother, took him to see the Bolshoi Ballet perform The Fountain of Bakhchisarai during their debut tour of the UK.

"The music was unbelievably exciting," he said. "It was all Tartar dancing and cracking the whips and leaping in the air and doing unbelievably energetic things, which only the Bolshoi could do.

"I was completely inspired by it… which is why it's so important I think for grandparents or other relations to take children at about the age of seven, to experience some form of the arts in performance."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are sure to be organising their own special celebration for their eldest child. The family has been isolating with the three children - George, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.

New photos of the royal will be released the day before the celebration. In the past these have been taken by his mum, Kate Middleton.

Schools in the UK are yet to reopen and homeschooling is continuing until at least June 1 although the British school summer holiday begins on July 15, just a week before Prince George's birthday, ensuring he won't have to complete any school work ahead of his celebration.

It is expected that whatever is planned for Prince George will be at the family's Anmer Hall home, with the Royal Opera House in London still closed along with all venues until their reopening is deemed safe by the British government.
