Princess Beatrice and boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi attend first Royal event together

Princess Beatrice has taken the next step in her relationship with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The couple attended Lady Gabriella Windsor's Royal Wedding together on Saturday, which is a big deal because it marks their first Royal event together.

Beatrice, 30, and Edoardo, 34, arrived with Sarah Ferguson at the lavish event at St George's Chapel of Windsor Castle.

But this was not Fergie's first meeting with her daughter's boyfriend, with reports he has already been on holiday with the York family, including Prince Andrew.

Another sign things are getting more serious between the Royal and the father-of-one, is that the couple recently made their first official public appearance together at The Portrait Gala 2019.

While they have attended events together previously -- at the Berggruen Prize for Philosophy and Culture in New York in December and the Bahrain Grand Prix in March -- the London event was the first time they posed together for photos.

Princess Beatrice opted for a navy lace dress with nude heels and a white hat for the occasion, which will only intensify engagement rumours.

This is because Royal Family members have only ever brought dates to such functions when things are getting very serious.

Kate Middleton had been dating Prince William for many years before she was invited to be part of a Royal Family event.

It's understood the couple were friends for years before a relationship developed, although it's not exactly known when they started dating.

Edoardo is a family friends of the Royals, with Prince Andrew, Fergie and Beatrice all attending his late stepdad's funeral in 2011.

The 34-year-old is the CEO of his own real estate firm, which he began in 2007.

He is also the father to a toddler son, named Wolfie, from a previous relationship.
