FYI: Prince Andrew just quietly snuck into Sydney

The arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Australia last month sent the entire country into a bit of a frenzy.

It was a very different story on Monday, however, when another member of the British Royal Family snuck into Sydney almost entirely unnoticed.

Prince Andrew is in the harbour city this week as part of his Pitch@Palace initiative, which aims to support entrepreneurs through amplifying their work and connecting them with potential supporters and stakeholders.

The Duke of York, 58, announced his arrival by sharing a photo from the Opera House forecourt on Instagram, writing, "Good morning Sydney! #pitchatpalace On Tour Sydney takes place later today."

Unlike the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were met by hundreds of fans during their meet-and-greet in the same spot last month, Andrew appeared to have the entire space to himself.

During the Pitch@Palace session, the prince heard 17 entrepreneurs pitch their ideas, representing a range of technologies.

Andrew then announced the eight winners, who will join the winners of other Pitch@Palace events around the country for a national boot camp in Brisbane, where they'll vie for a spot at the Global Final.

This is the second year the event has been held in Australia; last year's national winner went on to be named Global Entrepreneur of the Year.

Pitch@Palace isn't the only thing keeping the father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie busy in Sydney.

Andrew also met with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and opened the University of Wollongong's new-look Sydney Business School at Circular Quay.

Australia's had a rather busy royal schedule this year, with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also flying Down Under in April to open the Commonwealth Games.

Royal Family, if you're listening: we reckon the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are due for another Aussie visit, with all three kids in tow this time.
