Peace talks between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family will happen before the coronation in May, a source close to the monarch says.
But, "it's going to take flexibility on all sides".
The coronation of King Charles III will take place in London on May 6 and will be the most significant event in the royal family in decades.

If such a summit between Prince Harry and his family does not happen before then, the situation threatens to become "such a circus and distraction".
Speaking to The Times, a source described as having "the King's ear and who knows the Sussexes well" said reconciliation is likely to happen before May.
The damage between the Sussexes and the royal family was "fixable", they added.

"It needs Harry over here, in the room with the King and Prince of Wales, a couple of other family members, some of 'his people' he trusts who always had his back, so he doesn't think he's being ambushed," the source told the publication.
"Both sides need to hold their hands up and admit we didn't get everything right, and we got a lot wrong, and we have to say to him 'we understand the pain you've been through'. The King can do it."

The source added that Meghan and the Princess of Wales would need to be involved.
"We've got to move on it, and get it done by April. Then, we need to get the wives in. The King needs a clear run for the coronation."
In Spare, Prince Harry speaks at length about his family including the King and Queen Consort and Prince William and Catherine.

He is particularly critical of his brother and sister-in-law for not doing enough to welcome Meghan into the family, describing a tense meeting inside Kensington Palace where William called the Duchess of Sussex "rude", describing her behaviour as "not what's done here in Britain".

Harry recalled the now-infamous bridesmaid dress story in which Kate made Meghan cry and claimed Kate "grimaced" with disgust when Meghan asked to borrow her lip gloss.
Harry also detailed a physical confrontation between he and William, alleging the Prince of Wales "grabbed" him by the collar before "knocking" him to the floor.
Friends close to Prince William told The Times he is "burning inside" over Prince Harry's disloyalty.
But William could put that aside for the sake of the monarchy.
A separate source said: "He is loyal to the throne and understands what needs to be done for the country.

"Not everyone here behaved well, but Harry's got to be able to sit down and say 'we didn't behave well either'. That takes a lot of academic flexibility, which Harry isn't great at."
In an interview with ITV in promotion of Spare, Prince Harry said of his family: "They've shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile".
"And I'm not sure how honesty is burning bridges. You know, silence only allows the abuser to abuse."
During his interviews last week Harry said he wanted "accountability" and "an apology" from his family.
