Michelle Obama promises the new royal baby a ‘pyjama party’

Congratulations are flooding in for Prince William and Kate Middleton upon the birth of their third child.

But one message in particular is causing quite the stir.

The sender in question is Michelle Obama, and she’s offering up something that simply can’t be refused.

The former US First Lady tweeted her congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and also promised their new little prince a ‘pyjama party’.

That’s certainly one way to be welcomed into the world.

“Barack and I are thrilled to congratulate The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their newest arrival! We hope to meet him soon for a Kensington Palace pajama party. I’ll wear my robe!” she wrote on Twitter.

Her sweet message was accompanied by the unforgettable image of Barack and Michelle shaking hands with Prince George while he donned his robe during their UK visit in 2016.

We truly hope the prince and the Obamas do have a pyjama party for their first meeting, and that they share what will be the cutest photos ever.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge introduced their new baby boy to the world just seven hours after his birth on Monday, April 23.

They briefly stood outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London before going back inside to collect their belongings so they could return home to Kensington Palace.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs," Kensington Palace said in a tweet after the prince was born, adding, "The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz."

Kate was admitted to the hospital in the early hours of the morning on April 23, and Prince William accompanied her there and was present during the birth.
