Meghan's ex-husband’s friends take a jab at the Duchess in bachelor party speech

These days, it seems the easiest way for barely-known celebrities to remain in the public spotlight is to share even the vaguest link to the Duchess of Sussex.

This might explain a recently leaked video from the bachelor party of Meghan’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson, in which his friends reference the royal on multiple occasions.

The video, provided exclusively to DailyMailTV, shows Engelson and his friends at a long lunch in Miami for the 42-year-old’s bachelor party on March 17.

His friends are seen standing around a table, each holding a glass, as one delivers a toast.

“This right here... this right here is to royalty. You know what I'm saying?” begins the friend.

“Royalty won, royalty lost... But regardless, baby, we got to keep going.”

The obvious nods to Meghan continue as the group clinks their glasses.

“If it wasn't for Trev I wouldn't believe that I could marry a future princess,” announces another friend.

“What princess is available right now? I'm coming for you, girl.”

Engelson, who is a producer and talent agent in Los Angeles, is set to marry Tracey Kurland – 32-year-old nutritionist and daughter of a multi-millionaire – on May 11, almost exactly a year after Meghan said “I do” to Prince Harry.

Meghan was married to Engelson from 2011 to 2013, having been together for seven years prior.

It was reportedly the struggle of maintaining a long-distance marriage during Meghan’s time working on the TV drama Suits that led to the couple’s split.
