The incredible moment Meghan Markle sees her gown ahead of the Royal Wedding

A documentary series about the royal family is set to give the world further insight into the lives of our favourite royals, including the moment Meghan Markle saw her wedding gown the day before her marriage to Prince Harry on May 19.

Queen of the World is a new series which shows members of the royal family sharing their thoughts about Queen Elizabeth and the Commonwealth, the family of nations linked to the UK.

The documentary will be released ahead of Meghan and Harry undertaking their royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga - their first official tour of Commonwealth nations as a married couple.

One special moment shows Meghan, 37, seeing her wedding gown and veil.

The Duchess of Sussex touches her veil, which features hand-embroidered flowers from each of the 53 countries in the Commonwealth. It also includes Wintersweet which grows on the grounds of Kensington Palace in front of Nottingham Cottage where the couple lives, and the California Poppy, the State flower of California.

A smile stretches across Meghan's face as she sees her gown. In the clip, the Duchess is wearing Roland Mouret's Barwick Dress in navy, the same outfit she wore when arriving at Cliveden House, alongside her mother Doria Ragland, the night before the royal wedding.

It's an incredible moment, and one the world is sure to adore. 

The documentary is also likely to include an interview with the Duchess – her first face-to-face interview since becoming a royal. The series will air in two parts, released by UK network ITV.

Also joining the Duchess of Sussex in the documentary will be Sophie, Countess of Wessex and the Queen's daughter, Princess Anne, who will both give sit down interviews.

Meghan, Harry, Prince Charles and Prince William will also appear on the show.

ITV released a statement saying, "As the family and world leaders discuss the importance of the Commonwealth to the Queen, the series will document the way in which she passes her knowledge and experience to the younger generations."

As part of their royal tour, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Australia for the Invictus Games on October 20 in Sydney, with rumours they’ll be joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, from Denmark.
