Meghan’s family dramas set to get worse with the arrival of Baby Sussex

The Duchess of Sussex is due to give birth to her first child in late-April.

She is married to the man of her dreams, Prince Harry.

However, there remains a dark cloud over the Duchess, in the form of her estranged family, who are set to make things even worse for her when the royal baby arrives.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton, author of Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, has speculated that when the baby arrives, Markle can expect to draw a "public lament" from her dad, Thomas Markle Snr, 74, who has stated he is desperate to meet with his grandchild.

Writing in the Telegraph in the UK, Morton said, "There is the little matter of baby Sussex arriving in April.

"Amid the joy will be a public lament from Meghan’s father wondering if he will ever be allowed to see the child," he said.

The rift between the father and daughter has worsened recently since the airing of more dirty laundry, with Markle Snr releasing a letter he says was sent to him by his daughter, begging him to stop talking to media.

Morton has labelled the Duchess' estranged family as the "family from Hell" who are "not going to release her from purgatory that easily".

Close friends have reported to the SundayExpress that Markle Snr wants "one final chance to make things up with Meghan" and "can't bear the thought of not being able to hold his grandchild".

He turns 75 in August and the friends said he "can't think of a gift he would rather have than to be able to cradle that baby".

Markle Snr has been embroiled in scandal since before the royal wedding when he was exposed for participating in paid paparazzi photos, organised by his daughter and Meghan's half sister Samantha Markle.

He was then unable to walk his daughter down the aisle due to health problems.

Since the royal wedding, Meghan's father and half-sister have given paid media interviews in which they have been critical of her, Prince Harry and the royal family.
